GIVE ME SOME MORE * SLIM SMITH AND THE UNIQUES * BLANK (AFRO) * JA/UK

A Harry A. Mudie production on this Pre, the next side of which is the early Count Ossie cut Babylon Gone. The record is one of those Jamaican/British pressings, the form is pressed as a Jamaican record, i. e. no centre; and the master, or matrix, number is pressed in the dead wax, or run off, from a machine cut dye, usually the British method. I'm not sure when the pressing is from, but the mater number suggests that it was intended for release on the Island label around number 3115. The Slim Smith track was eventually officially released in the UK on the Moodisc label (twice) as the B side to another Count Ossie cut Whispering Drums [a future posting on this site].
