1944

INTO EACH LIFE SOME RAIN MUST FALL * INK SPOTS AND ELLA FITZGERALD * DECCA 9-23356 * USA

Recorded a year before the end of WW11 on the 30th August 1944 with Ella Fitzgerald, and Charles Fuqua, Orville "Happy" Jones, Bill Kenny, Ivory Watson (The Ink Spots) and an unknown studio orchestra. This song, with its message of pain and suffering, could possibly be meant as a cathartic to all those who had loved ones killed or maimed in the war. The next side I'm Making Believe, could also have given some comfort and eased the pain of those in a similar situation. The record was originally released as a 78rpm on the Decca label with the same catalogue number, the above is a 1950s issue.
