TRAVELIN' TO CALIFORNIA * ALBERT KING * KING 5588 * USA

Originally released on Bobbin #130 Travelin' To California was the second of his Bobbin releases that King picked up for release. Albert King did eventually sign with King but only recorded one session with them. It would seem that the label let a big fish slip through their hands with Albert King as he was one of the most important Blues guitarists of the period - he played left handed with the guitar strung for a right handed player, a sort of upside-down, or if you prefer back to front, playing - and with a big independent like Sydney Nathan's King they could have given him the prominence he deserved.
