Sonny Boy Williamson made his first recordings for Lillian McMurray's Trumpet Records of Jackson Mississippi in early 1951, he recorded for Trumpet until 1954, then after cutting one record at Ace he moved to Checker, Your Funeral was his sixth release on that label.
