EL TORRO * ROLAND ALPHONSO * PYRAMID 6004 * UK
Of course this is the B side of 007 by Desmond Decker, one of the biggest hits of Jamaican music at the time, it stayed on the British national charts for eleven weeks and reached number 14, but it was an even bigger hit on what was fast becoming the Skinhead circuit. This slow Ska, is not quite a Rock Steady although the next side was, but is more of a transitional cut. It's my guess that it was slightly older than 007, and Leslie Kong was covering his bets by offering two styles on one disc.
