WILLOW WEEP * THE SKA-TA-LITES * STUDIO1 * JA

This must be one of the last Ska tunes cut by the group, although some debate still surrounds their actual disbanding it is sometime in the summer of 1965 some six months after Don Drummond had been incarcerated for the murder of his fiancée Marguerita Mahfood. As can be seen on this original issue the Skatalites, or Ska-talites, record their name didn't have a fixed construction, as was true of other nomenclature associated with the early Jamaican record industry, in fact this cut was also issued as Look Away Ska credited to Roland Alphonso.
