ANGEL OF THE MORNING * JOYA LANDIS * TROJAN 622 * UK

Angel Of The Morning, was written by Chips Taylor and first offered to Connie Francis, who turned it down. After being recorded a couple of times without much success the song was eventually a hit for American singer Merrilee Rush in 1968; it was that same year that Joya Landis cut her version for Duke Reid.
