SOUL LIMBO * BYRON LEE AND THE DRAGONAIRS * TROJAN 624 * UK

Soul Limbo by The Dragonairs was another significant Skinhead tune, and was invariably featured in any DJ's set who was playing to largely Skinhead audience.

The recording, apart from being played with a Calypso flavored Reggae beat was a close copy of the Booker T and The M G's Stax original.

The tune was picked up by the British Broadcasting Company and used as the theme tune for their television coverage, after which it became the theme tune for BBC's radio Test Match Special, and as a consequence is known throughout the world where BBC cricket coverage is heard.
