I CAN UNDERSTAND IT * BOBBY WOMACK * UA 36462 * UK

Bobby Womack opens this electrifying early 70s Soul cut with the immortal words "You know, everybody works out of their own bag" . 'Bag' talk was big then; James Brown gives it up on vinyl with Papa's Got A Brand New Bag, but my favorite of all the bags uttered on wax was Shirley Williams over at Stax telling the 'other woman', "Whether your cool or come out of bag on me it really doesn't matter" . The B side of this cut is the terrific Harry Hippie a song Bobby Womack wrote about his own brother.
