Produced by Jo Gibbs this early solo outing for Peter Tosh draws on the Jamaican proverb "If you sorry fe mauger darg, him wi' tun round an' bite you." I.e.; ingratitude towards those who help and sympathize with the distressed and poor. An old Scottish equivalent is; "Buy a thief frae the middie and he'll help to hang ye." Tragically ironic, or prophetic, then that Peter Tosh was murdered six years later by a character named Dennis 'Leppo' Lobban, who he had befriended and tried to help find work after a long jail sentence.
