SATAN SIDE * KEITH HUDSON * DUKE 145 * UK

Satan Side is a dark and somewhat introspective track even for Keith Hudson, aka The Dark Prince of Reggae. Just what Satan Side is about I have no idea, but as he wrote, produced and provided vocals on, it must have meant a lot to him; and he was ably accompanied by a strong, striped down bass line and some blistering trumpet solo's from Johnny Moore.

Among the more popular superstitions associated with Satan or The Devil many have to do with the left. It is said that 'you should never enter a friends home with the left foot first unless you bring the Devil in with you'. Or there's the recommendation to 'always get out of bed on the right side, as it is common knowledge that evil sprits prefer the left side. They will lurk by the bed waiting to hang on to you if you exit from their side.' The most well known and practiced is probably 'Throwing salt over your left shoulder' apparently to sting his eyes.
