Slim Smith and the Uniques cut My Conversation for Bunny Lee in the late 1960s, in 1974 Lee sold the rhythm to producer Rupie Edwards who then made an album titled Yamaha Skank from twelve versions of that rhythm, the album was a first of it's kind. This is the opening track from the album which kicks off with the words "Welcome to doctor Satan's echo chamber".
