COCK MOUTH KILL COCK * THE AFRICAN * SIOUX 006 * UK

'Cock mout' kill cock' is an old Jamaican saying historically applied to the evil effects of jealousy and gossip. I.e. Through too much talking one is apt to get oneself into trouble. This is a recurring motif in Reggae songs as "Your teeth and your tongue, a go let you down" in Bob Marley's Mr. Chatterbox or the much versioned Words Of My Mouth for example.
