The Paul Simon and Art Garfunkle song given the Rock Steady treatment at Brentford Road. There is something about the attempted verisimilitude as it reaches for that 'sound', that, being not quite the same, surpasses it, giving this version by The Gaylads a transcendental quality.
The same song was recorded two years later by a group of Jamaican school girls from the parish of St. Andrew, coincidently the same parish that housed Coxsone Dodd's studio. Produced by Byron Lee it was released in the UK on Trojan records (see below).
