BIG BOY TEACHER * HUGH ROY * TREASURE ISLE * JA

Hugh, or U. Roy was more given to cutting the odd 'slack' song than the similarly named Dee Jay: I Roy, who tended to deal more with political issues in his Toasting. Big Boy Teacher's salaciousness is, however, more restrained than is the norm on this type of cut which could be, to some sensibilities, pretty gross. Many of these X rated songs were put out as B sides and some, often the most extreme were issued in the UK only as blank labels, the above is the B side to the more well known Wake The Town. Musically this cut has a solid rhythm (Katty) a very pleasant female vocal chorus and a nice trembling guitar break.
