DEAR LOVER * MARY WELLS * ATCO 6392 * USA

Mary Wells's first release for the Atco label, saw something of a revival of interest, in Southern England at least, since her departure from Motown the previous year. Although she had recorded for 20th Century Fox in between and they had banged out six singles in quick succession, presumably trying to find a hit that will keep her name in the public consciousness, nothing seemed to come of these - even though the first five were released in the UK.
