SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL * IDALIA BOYD * DIMENSION 1007 * US

Idalia Boyd was brought into the studio by song writing and producing team Gerry Goffin and Carole King to record a novelty dance number Hula Hoppin' in the hope that she would enjoy a similar success as her sister Little Eva had with The Loco-Motion. Unfortunately it was not to be, but, fortunately however, on the flip side of that record, Goffin/King recorded her on a top version of another of their tunes Some Kind Of Wonderful  (previously been recorded by The Drifters in 1960). As far as I can tell this was Idalia Boyd's only recording.
