Another superb ballad from this beautiful lady; born October 1940, Justine 'Baby' Washington first recorded with The Hearts Vocal Quartet for Baton in 1956, that same year she cut one record for J&S with The Jaynetts, the following year she had her first outing under her own name (only one side) also on J&S, then two more on J&S, this time as by The Hearts, this was followed by three more solo records and one more by The Jaynettes. There followed records on Neptune, Checker and ABC Paramount before signing for Juggy Murry's Sue label in 1962, where her first release was Go On released on Sue 764. She released a total of sixteen 45s on Sue, The Clock being the eighth.
