TOO MANY FISH IN THE SEA * THE MARVELETTES * STATESIDE 369 * UK
According to the date stamped on the centre this record was released in Britain on the1st January 1965, just two months before EMI started to release records on the Tamla-Motown imprint in the UK; it was released in the USA in November 1964 on the Tamla label # 54105. In total there was forty five Tamla related 45s released on the Stateside imprint some of which now only the rich or the very lucky can now obtain. On Too Many Fish In The Sea the marvellous Marvelettes are giving out good advise to their sisters, with lines like "though you love and lose you must stand tall" and other advise that is probably as valid but, I would guess, a little harder to follow "don't love nobody who doesn't love you".
