Taken from the original Soul recording by the El Tempos My Dream Island released on Vee Jay in 1964, this beautiful version of the song that was first recorded in Jamaica by Bunny Wailer and The Wailers in 1971, has a slightly more heavy, if less complex, backing than the Wailers cut, but both have superb vocals sung with an intensity of feeling that seems heart-achingly sublime.
