Little Richard was eighteen years old when he first recorded with Billy Wright's R&B band with ballads like Every Hour for RCA. Five years later he was at the height of his fame with wild Rocker's like the above. Long Tall Sally was the A side of his second release in the UK, both sides of this record were taken from his first and second releases for The Specialty label in the US: 561 and 572. Both of the tracks on this British release were featured in the 1956 film Don't Knock The Rock.
