A Beatles song, written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, is given the Soul treatment by Ray Charles, and although the sentiments of this well written song carry most any voice, the emotional range, or aesthetics, if I can call it that, of Ray Charles' voice gives this version the edge, for me, over the Beatles original. 

It is said that the song has been covered some 2,200 times! One of those covers was by the great Roosevelt Grier (see Below).
