The Isley Brothers had four singles out on Atlantic in 1961, then after a gap of three years, when they recorded for Wand and United Artists, the above was released on Atlantic 2263 in the US (it was released in the UK as the B side). Looking For A Love (not the same as the Valentinos recording) is a delicate, Soulful ballad that has those sudden drops in the melody which work so well with tragic love songs. It is one of the Isley Brothers cuts on which Jimi Hendrix plays when he was working as a session musician.
