WHAT DOES A GIRL DO * THE SHIRELLES * STATESIDE 232 * UK

In 1962 after the Shirelles had enjoyed a good run of success and their second number one hit Soldier Boy, a Luther Dixon Florence Greenberg composition, other publishers and writers were trying to get the girls to record their songs, two songs Greenberg passed on for the group were: The Shoop Shoop Song and He's A Rebel ! One can only speculate how different Soul music history would have been had the Shirelles got to record these songs.
