LIFE IS TOUGH * DERRICK MORGAN * BLUE BEAT 196 * UK

This one seems to be a grudge record that is directed at Scratch (aka Lee Perry), though it is unclear just what the 'grudge' is. What is also odd in the context of Derrick Morgan and grudge records is that he seems to side with Prince Buster; his arch rival when it comes to these types of recordings. Life Is Tough is, despite my lack of clarity over the lyrics, a nice early Ska cut that is close to the Boogie / Shuffle sound with a long sweet saxophone solo towards the end.
