CHAINS OF LOVE * JOE TURNER * ATLANTIC 939 * UAS

The superb, sorrowful Blues ballad Chains Of Love was Joe Turner's debut release for the fledgling Atlantic label, it was recorded NYC, April 19, 1951 and released in May 1951. Written by Atlantic boss Ahmet Ertegu  and featuring Harry Van Walls (piano); three other sides cut at the session were After My Laughter Came Tears (released as the B side) The Chill Is On and Bump Miss Susie.
