DANCE CLEOPATRA * PRINCE BUSTER AND BUSTERS ALL STARS * BLUE BEAT 388 * UK

Another scorcher from Prince Buster, this one has him toasting and making the most ecentric musical noises while the band plays top Ska. It seems that Prince Buster stayed with the Ska sound long after the music had shifted to the Rock Steady beat with other producers, one possible reason could be his Ska rhythms were so popular and so exciting that he was reluctant to let the idiom go seeing, as is proved by the above, that there was still plenty of mileage in it; after all at that point there had been no theoretical or academic legitimation!
