HE IS NOT A REBEL * THE ETHIOPIANS * BIG SHOT 569 * UK
The Ethiopians were one of the groups to turn almost exclusively to songs of a political nature, writing and singing songs about Jamaican party politics, social consciousness and history. Produced by J J Johnson, and with a cue taken from The Crystals 1962 Soul song He's A Rebel, The Ethiopians cut He Is Not A Rebel is a swipe at those identified in the song as traitors; those duplicitous men and women that would sell their own brother or countrymen to a foreign agent. The idea of the traitor very relevant in the UK today with the three supposedly different parties Liberal, Conservative and Labour, all of who's leaders are arch-traitors and who's parties consits almost entirely of other traitors, knaves, scaipins, bad men, blackguards, betrayer's, conspirators, Judas', reptiles, serpents, snake in the grass', wolfs in sheep's clothing, Jerry sneaks, trimmers and fifth columnists ready to sell out the people of the the UK to the unaccountable and undemocratic, Neo liberal, fascist organization known officially as the European Union, but more accurately known as The EUSSR.
