A bitter sweet Soulful ballad from the adorable Justine 'Baby' Washington, written by Bobby Womack and produced by Dave Crawford I Can't Afford To Lose Him was a Cottilion release USA. Released as the B side to I Don't Know it was her first of four for the Atlantic subsidiary Cottillion imprint, and her first of only two from that label in the UK.
I Can't Afford To Lose Himwas also recorded by Ella Washington (no relation) on Sound Stage Seven in 1970.
