Produced by Lindon O. Pottinger and released on his Gaydisc imprint JA this is the first, and slower, version of the song Dobby Dobson cut for Rupie Edwards four years later.
Highland "Dobby" Dobson began recording with Chuck Josephs as Chuck and Dobby, and The Deltas (with founder of the Paragons Howard Barrett) before going solo and using and using The Deltas on this sweet recording of Cry A Little Cry; his first big commercial success, that topped the Jamaican charts.
