WHERE WERE YOU * THE TECHNIQUES * BLANK * UK/JA
Something of a hybrid, this record spans not only two countries but two musical idioms. The record seems to be a Jamaican pressing but with a British matrix: TMX 444, and was eventually released in the UK on Duke # 60. Both sides are produced by Winston Riley and sung by The Techniques but this side, with Pat Kelly on lead vocals, is a Rock Steady cut while the next side Just One Smile is on a very early Reggae beat.
N.B. This is not the later song Where Were You by Al Campbell.
