1960

SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL * THE DRIFTERS * LONDON ATLANTIC 9326 * UK

One of the four songs from the first recording session with Rudy Lewis taking over lead from Ben E. King. Recorded in September 1960 this fine, fine record represents a wealth of talent, a who's who of musical masters; as apart from the members of the group, the song was written by  Goffin and  King, arranged by Burt Bacharach, produced by Leiber and Stoller, with Dionne and Dee Dee Warwick, Cissy Houston, and Doris Troy, backing vocals and Billy Davis playing guitar, and no doubt many more talented folk.
