1960

I COUNT THE TEARS * THE DRIFTERS * LONDON 9287 * UK

Another Ben E. King lead vocal, this cut was recorded at the same session as the phenomoly popular Save The Last Dance For Me (also with Ben E. King on lead) which was their only number one on both Pop and R&B charts. The inclusion of Sadie My Lady on the flip of this British issue is a real treat for fans of the 1950s style Drifters, it was recorded in 1956 with Johnny Moore on lead vocals, and is a real rocker.
