The Gaylads recorded prolifically for Coxsone Dodd, from 1964 to 1968. The above was a big hit with the emerging Skinheads, at the time of its release public houses had recently started using DJ's to play music to the drinkers in the bars, not as previously for the purpose of dancing but just as background music.
