1969
8 - FOR - 8 * THE UPSETTERS * UPSETTER 300 * UK
The first release on the British Upsetter imprint, that ran from #300 to #400 and lasted from 1969 to 1973 with every release a Lee 'Scratch' Perry production.
The title Eight For Eight (coffins) is a reference to the Spaghetti Western films of the period and although for effect a bit gruffer than normal, it's the unmistakable voice of the man himself that introduces this fast Early Reggae organ led instrumental with the line Eight for eight (coffins).
