The first release on the Song Bird imprint, a label that was to last for five years with over eighty releases. Just why Lloyd Charmers named this track Ling Tong Ting is unclear, the similarity with the song Ling Ting Tong is obvious, but this poly rhythmic Early Reggae instrumental has nothing in common with the Doo Wop cut. Or it could have something to do with the Prince Buster cut Ling Ting Tang from 1965.
It was reissued four years latter on Horse (see below) as the B side to Loving Her Was Easy in Stereo!
