BREAKING UP * ALTON ELLIS * LORD KOOS 19 *

A later version of the Rock Steady  cut he did for Coxsone Dodd, which was only ever available in the UK on the Best Of Alton Ellis LP. The one that was available on 45, and consequently the one best known by British fans was the Early Reggae cut he did shortly after for Duke Reid. The song has been versioned and covered by many other Jamaican artists and the rhythm has been, and still is, used over and over again.
