James Brown's first record on the British Pye International label, on the King label USA it was his follow up to the seminal Papa's Got A brand New Bag, although they chose to leave off the extra information that was given to the American record buyer when it was first issued in the US on King #6015. On the King release the record label has the banner 'From his movie Ski Party'! A film that, I'm sure, very few British fans ever got to see at the time.
Ski Party is a 'teen' beach type B movie based loosely on the plot of Some Like It Hot. James Brown And The Famous Flames got to sing I Got You (I Feel Good); other songs were by Lesley Gore, The Hondells (two), and Frankie Avalon.
