MAMA KEEP YOUR BIG MOUTH SHUT * BO DIDDLEY * CHECKER 1083 * USA

1963 proved a poor year for Bo Diddley singles only having released Surfers Love Call #1045 and a live version of Memphis # 1058, but the following year he was back with force releasing Mama Keep Your Big Mouth Shut.  The song was written by Bo Diddley, allegedly after some trials and tribulations with his own mother-in-law, and although it is a quality, earthy R&B/Soul cut it didn't sell that well which may have been because of the title being what some people might find problematic.
