NOTHING BUT HEARTACHES * JACKIE WILSON * BRUNSWICK 55381 * USA
Something of a popular double sided record at the time of its release Nothing But Heartaches (Keep Haunting Me) is the B side to I Get The Sweetest Feeling. It was the A side which gave Jackie Wilson three separate chart entries in the UK, the first in the summer of 1972 - four years after its release - when it stayed on the charts for 13 weeks reaching #9, then again in the spring of 1975, reaching #25 and staying on the charts for 8 weeks; and finally in 1987 when it peaked at #3 sticking on the charts for 11 weeks. Jackie Wilson seemed to have had a unique relation to the British charts as his first track Reet Petite, had two chart entries, the first in 1957 and again in 1986, then there was To Be Loved which enjoyed three separate entries on the charts throughout 1958; his next entry All My Love had two separate entries; then there was Alone At Last his only record to not re-enter the charts but only just squeak in at #50 for one week; after that it was back to form with Higher And Higher which first charted in 1969 then again in 1975 and finally in 1987.
