That's What Love Is Made Of was released in the US 28th August 1964 on Tamla 54102 and in the UK three months later in November. Written by three members of the group Smokey Robinson, Bobby Rodgers and Warren Moore and produced by Smokey Robinson the song, something like a nursery rhyme, is a mid tempo recording in-between a ballad and a dance number, with some nice group interplay; Gospel style call and response Soul wasn't that common at Tamla Motown but it works very well on this cut.
