ROAD RUNNER * BO DIDDLEY * LONDON 9112 * UK

Road Runner was Bo Diddley's fifteenth Checker single (US) and his fourth UK. It's another bravado song about his abilities Bo Diddley tells it like this in a radio interview with Stuart Colman March 1979: "We have a bird called the 'roadrunner' . . . . That bird is fast, you dig, an' I was tryin' to say: I move to fast for you young girls, you can't keep up with me".

The bird was also name checked some years later by Jr. Walker.
