Written by James Brown and leader of The Famous Flames, saxophonist, Alfred “Pee Wee” Ellis, Cold Sweat was a million seller and is claimed to be the first Funk hit. Recorded in one take in May 1967 and released on King 6110 in the USA in July 1967.
