I CAN TAKE A HINT * THE MIRACLES * TAMLA 54078 * USA

Until the era of CD releases of obscure Soul records I Can Take A Hint was a hidden gem in the Miracles cannon and thesaurus of early Tamla recordings. As a testament to the optimisim, self belief and confidence that must have infused the Motown studios during this golden period, on this recording The Miracles have managed to make a sad song about loss and a failed relationship sound gay and full of the joys of life, something to dance and sing to!

Produced by William 'Smokey' Robinson, I Can Take A Hint was written by Smokey Robinson, Janie Bradford, fellow 'Miracle' Robert Edward "Bobby" Rogers and Stanley Ossman, and released on the 11th March 1963 as the B side of A Love She Can Count On.
