I'LL TAKE YOU HOME * THE DRIFTERS * ATLANTIC 2201 * USA

Johnny Moore takes lead on this slow ballad; it's the next side to I Feel Good All Over although it was recorded six months later at the session which produced Rat Race and If You Don't Come Back. Johnny Moore sang lead on over 42% of Drifters records from during the 1950s and 60s, the most by a wide margin, with Clyde McPhatter running a not so close second with only 15% of leads, prior to his work with The Drifters, he had tried to establish a solo career recording as Johnny Darrow cutting records for Melic and Sue.
